COMPARISON WITH OTHER GIS-SYSTEMS

As a completely newly developed cloud GIS, yey'maps offers many advantages over classic WebGIS applications.

We have put together a few of them on this page for you so that you can compare the functions.

100% CLOUD GIS

yey'maps is a newly developed cloud GIS application that can easily integrate your geodata into your daily operations.

Cloud GIS solutions are centralized, highly secure, always up-to-date and available on all devices. All you need is a web browser.

In contrast to classic WebGIS providers, yey'maps not only uses the latest cloud server technology, but also cloud databases, cloud storage and much more. This means yey'maps can easily grow with our customers with minimal administration effort.

And most importantly: No Desktop GIS is required to create or maintain your GIS projects.

ORGANIZED TO THE T

With yey'maps you can create your own projects in a matter of minutes.

Avoid cramming hundreds of layers into a single map by creating meaningful, topic-based projects that contain only the data you need.

Organizing your projects with yey'maps is a breeze. Take advantage of layer groups and user groups and assign them where ever needed.

LOAD AND EDIT DATA YOURSELF

All geodata is collected and managed in the yey'maps data warehouse.

Upload geodata yourself or quickly create new layers or layer groups
Digitize new objects or edit existing objects.

Of course, you can also add new attribute fields choosing from various field types.

FULL DATA CONTROL

With yey'maps you always have access to your data and you can also share it with others if needed.

Invite employees and contractors and let them access your yey'maps project directly. You decide which level of access rights you want to provide.

No import, export, or download is necessary. Simply share maps, layers, or layer groups in an instant.

USE YOUR OWN SYMBOLS AND STYLES

yey'maps offers you tons of point symbols to design your point layers. In addition, you can upload and use your own SVG, or PNG icons.

For line and area geometry, a symbol editor with extensive functions is available.

So the next time you want to change the color, border style, or the background of an area, just open the symbol editor and change it.

Oh, and labels? Of course, labeling is included as well.

OGC SERVICES

With yey'maps you can easily and quickly integrate geodata services like WMS, WMTS, WFS into the data warehouse.

This functionality is included as standard in all versions.

However, users can only view and query the information.

SHARING DATA

Maps and geodata can be shared with all stakeholders.

You can share individual data or entire projects in-house or with external contractors, either in read-only or editing mode.

Sending data by email is no longer necessary. Instead, you simply invite colleagues and contractors to collaborate at the touch of a button.

ASSET MANAGEMENT AND WORK ORDERS

Implementing asset management using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) can be a game-changer for small towns. Here's how it benefits local governments and communities:

1. Improved Decision-Making

GIS provides detailed, real-time visual data on assets like roads, utilities, and public facilities. This allows small towns to prioritize repairs and allocate resources effectively, ensuring data-driven decisions that save time and money.

2. Cost Savings

Preventative maintenance becomes easier with GIS. Tracking asset lifecycles (like water pipes, streetlights, or public parks) helps towns address problems before they become expensive emergencies.
