FUNCTIONS IN yey'asset management

HOW DO I ACTIVATE yey'asset management FOR MY PROJECT?

You can add our module to any of your projects or maps. The requirement is that you have either booked one of our starter packages that includes the yey'tasks module or have purchased the module separately.

Log in to yey'maps as usual. Select the relevant project or map where you want to include the yey'asset management module and go to the settings (the three dots stacked vertically). Here, under "Tool Settings," activate the task management.

The task management is now active in your project or map. Next to the yey'maps logo, you will see the task management, and a new layer will appear on your map.

WHAT DOES THE TASK STRUCTURE OF yey'asset management LOOK LIKE?

The task structure in yey'asset management comprises of 3 levels and forms a hierarchy.

The first level is the Workspace. Here, you define the organizational unit or the area of interest, such as a municipal office, cemetery, green space, sewer system, or playground.

The second level is the Task Group. For instance, if you selected the workspace "Municipal Office," the task group could be named "Vandalism" or "Event."

The final level is the Object Type. In the case of the workspace "Municipal Office" and the task group "Vandalism," the object type could be "Illegal Dumping."

The task you would then enter could be, for example, "Please remove the trash."

When working with colleagues on tasks, establish a consistent structure and create task templates that can be reused at any time.

For many work areas, such as tree inspections according to FLL or green space management, we already offer ready-made templates.

HOW DO I CREATE TASKS WITH yey'asset management?

There are two ways to create tasks in the yey'asset management module. You can either assign a task to an existing object (Option 1) or create a new object and then assign the task to it (Option 2).

Option 1:

Select the object to which you want to assign a task. The object will be active (outlined in yellow) and its information will open. Now click the button to create a new task and set up the task.

Option 2:

Activate the Task Management layer and digitize the relevant object (line, area, point, rectangle, circle). Then, as in Option 1, assign the task to this object.

Tasks can have files attached, such as photos or descriptions. Additionally, you can define a timeframe for completing the task and set a priority level.

HOW CAN I VIEW MY TASKS?

If you have assigned a task to yourself or if a colleague has assigned a task to you, you can see this directly on the "bell" icon located at the top right of your map, next to the settings. In the accompanying image, you can see that the user has received 3 new tasks. Click on the bell to view the notifications and display the corresponding tasks with a mouse click.

Alternatively, you can click on the Task Management module at the top left at any time to access an overview of your tasks. Here, you can also edit individual tasks.
